Cigarettes, cigars and even chewing tobacco will soon be banned at all UC campuses. Starting in April of 2014, all 10 campuses will prohibit tobacco use. Now at UCSB, you can smoke away from entrances to buildings.
The UCSB community is divided over the policy change. A KEY News crew talked to some students who believe smokers are being unfairly targeted. Other students and staff welcome the change and say second hand smoke is sometimes hard to avoid on campus.
