AN ASIAN man has told how he was slashed in the face in an unprovoked racist attack.
Manzoor Ellahi, 34, was confronted by three white teenagers as he walked to a shop in Shawlands, Glasgow, at 10.30pm on Saturday.
The thugs hurled racial abuse at him and one of them attacked him with a knife. He was treated for face wounds at the Victoria Infirmary.
The attackers, who targeted Manzoor outside Martin & Co solicitors office in Kilmarnock Road, were described as around 17 or 18.
Originally from Pakistan, Manzoor has only been living in Glasgow for eight months after moving from Manchester.
He said: "I was going to buy cigarettes when I saw these young guys across the road. They were shouting at me.
"As I walked across the road they kept swearing at me, then one of them slashed my face with a knife."
One of the suspects was wearing a blue top, another had a green top and the third was wearing a black top.
Meanwhile, detectives are probing a stabbing in the Penilee area.
A 43-year-old man was attacked within a close at Bowfield Avenue, Penilee, at 10pm on Saturday.
He was taken to the Southern General Hospital and is in a serious but stable condition.

Are you paying over $5 per pack of cigarettes? I buy my cigarettes over at Duty Free Depot and this saves me over 50% from cigarettes.
