$10,000 worth of stolen cigarettes recovered

LIVINGSTON, La. (AP) — A Denham Springs man faces charges of trying to peddle about $10,000 worth of stolen cigarettes.Livingston Parish sheriff's deputies say 27-year-old Clifton Simmons is jailed in lieu of $50,000 bond on five counts of felony theft. Authorities say the cigarettes were allegedly found in Simmons' residence.


Detectives say they believe the cigarettes were being sold for half price.
