Robber Takes Cash, Cigarettes in Convenience Store Hold-Up

Springfield police are looking for a man who robbed a north Springfield Kum & Go store early Tuesday morning.

It happened at the store at the corner of National and Division about 12:30 Tuesday morning.
Police say a man walked up to the clerk and demanded cigarettes.

The clerk gave him cigarettes after the suspect reached behind his back.
The suspect then demanded money, stuffed the money in his backpack and left the store.

He was last seen heading north on national on a blue mountain bike.

Police say the suspect is a black male with short black hair.

He was wearing a black shirt, blue jean shorts and a black back pack.
